What can I do to help the Earth?
- Choose energy efficient lighting and energy efficient appliances
- Choose green label products
- Heat and cool your homes and offices efficiently
- Insulate your homes and business, take a look at recycled blue jeans as insulation for an environmentally friendly choice
- Conserve all water use
- Reduce standby power use, unplug when not in use
- Switch to solar or green power
- Use car pools or public transportation whenever possible, or better yet, bike to work
- Invest sustainably
- Become a catalyst for change, live it, learn about it and talk about it!
- Pick up someone else's trash. Your kids will love taking part in this if you tell them they are helping Mother Earth.
- Use your dollars to speak to the issue
- Turn off the water while you shave or brush your teeth
- Plant plants that require little or no water
- Grow your own food
- Support you local farmers
- Become a volunteer for “Clean Up” Projects
- Try to buy only Fair trade items
- Go Organic whenever you can
- Buy renewable energy
- Reduce, Recycle and re-use
- Remind people that the earth is not their trash can or ash tray
- Use candles one night a week
